Since I bought my Lumix 14-45mm lens it has pretty much never left my camera. I find that its compactness means it is never far from my side when I am out walking and the image quality is good enough that I do not have any regrets about not using a DSLR. Since this is pretty much just a kit lens I did not have too many expectations about the quality but I am glad to say that I was pleasantly surprised in every aspect. The lens is made from sturdy plastic with a high quality metal mount and it feels very solid overall. It is not very heavy either and is a perfect fit for the compact camera body. I would rate the performance of this lens as somewhere between very good and excellent so if you find yourself looking for a good quality prime lens this is the one to get.
The Tamron 28-200 is a good lens for those who are starting to like photography. It permits you to take pictures at 28mm, vividly, up to 200mm. Growing up in theU.S.the only great American photographer I learned about as a child was Mathew B. Brady and his photos from our Civil War. That’s why I continually looked for his biography and photos in book after book. But they are rarely present. That’s why I was pleased to find a mention of Brady in The Photo Book published by Phaidon.
Brady himself was a leading portrait photographer in 1840′s New York City. But during the civil war he employed a group of photographers including Timothy O’Sullivan. Perhaps that’s why Brady himself isn’t shown prominently in photography books. Brady’s photographers documented all elements of the Civil War except battle itself. 19th century cameras were not as mobile as 20th century cameras where war photographers actually photographed men in battle.

The painting that I decided to buy is famous all over the world. It represents a recreation of nineteen red roses in a wonderful crystal vase. The painting is really amazing and my husband persuaded me to buy it. On the exhibition I met personally Elizabeth Smith. She told me that the painting of the red roses is her favorite painting. I am happy that I have such a famous painting at home.
